This notice explains, in plain English, how Rowan Roofing uses the personal information you give us through this website, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect

When you use a quote or enquiry form on this website, we collect the details you choose to enter:

• your name;
• your phone number;
• your email address (where the form asks for it);
• the service you are interested in;
• any details you give us about the work, such as the type of roof, the problem or the property's location.

If you phone or email us instead, we keep the details you give us in the same way.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, arrange a visit if needed and prepare a quote for the work. We do not use them for unrelated marketing.

Our lawful basis

We rely on two lawful bases under the UK GDPR:

• Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract — when you ask us for advice, a visit or a quote.
• Legitimate interests — responding to people who contact us and keeping sensible records of the work we have quoted for.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. To deliver your enquiry, the website form uses two services:

• Lovable Cloud — the website's hosting and database service, which stores the enquiries sent through the form.
• FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) — an email delivery service that forwards each enquiry to our inbox, with a copy to the person who manages our website.

These providers handle the information only to deliver and store enquiries for us. We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. Where we have quoted for work, we keep a record of the quote and your contact details for up to 2 years, then delete them.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you (access);
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong (correction);
• ask us to delete your information (deletion);
• object to us using your information (objection).
